Meet the Coaches

Head Coach
Isaac Anders
Isaac Anders graduated from Lindale High School in 2003. He played college tennis for Tyler Junior College, where he won the Junior College National Championship in 2004. Anders finished his college studies and tennis at Division II Ouachita Baptist in May of 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and Spanish. Coach Anders has been teaching Spanish and coaching tennis at Longview High School for 18 years.

Assistant Coach
Shelby May
Shelby May graduated from Callisburg High School in 2010 and was a 3 time Regional Qualifier. She was the first girl in her high schools history to earn a tennis scholarship. She played college tennis at NCTC, in Gainesville, TX before transferring to LeTourneau University to continue her education and college tennis. After graduating with honors in 2014, she became the graduate assistant tennis coach at Hardin-Simmons University from 2015-2017​ assisting them to 3 Successful ASC tournaments. She graduated from HSU in 2017 with her Masters degree in Kinesiology, Recreation and Sport. This is her 9th year in education and her 1st year at Longview.

Assistant Coach
Hannah Phelps
Hannah Phelps graduated from Corsicana High School in 2020 and was a Regional Qualifier in Mixed Doubles in 2019. She went on to play college tennis for East Texas Baptist University until 2022. In December of 2023, she graduated from ETBU with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and minor in Criminal Justice. This is Coach Phelps' first year as a tennis coach and we are excited to have her on our coaching staff.
